Fire Service Labor/Management course premieres in Healdsburg; Class size is limited to the first 25 registrants
CSFA will host the inaugural offering of Fire Service Labor/Management Relations, a State Fire Training FSTEP course, prior to the 95th annual CSFA Conference in Healdsburg. This new course was developed over the last 24 months, and the instructors are John Torres and Paul Stein.
Torres, retired from Alameda County FD and a longtime fire service instructor at Chabot College, was one of the course developers. Stein, who retired from Santa Monica FD, is a nationally-recognized fire service instructor and experienced labor negotiator.
Monday, 9/18, 8am – 6pm
Tuesday, 9/19, 8am – 5pm

Course Description: This course provides participants with an overview of labor/management history, stakeholders, roles and responsibilities, and legislation and the tools to initiate and maintain positive labor/management partnerships.
