Help stop "paycheck deception"

An initiative being called "STOP the Special Interest Money Now Initiative," will be on this November's ballot. This initiative purports to be about stopping special interest money in politics; however, it's not what it seems. It was written to benefit billionaire businessmen at the expense of middle class workers and average citizens.

This initiative unfairly singles out and limits the voices of public safety members. Under this measure, public safety workers would be prohibited from voluntarily contributing to political campaigns, even with written permission, while billionaires could continue to contribute unlimited amounts of money to Super PACs.

Instead of creating a level playing field, this initiative would create special exemptions for corporate special interests and billionaires, giving them even more political power to write their own set of rules, while cutting firefighters, police officers, teachers, and nurses out of the political process.
