Captain Dick Brown, Your CSFA Chaplain

Calaveras Consolidated Fire Protection District

Dick Brown is currently serving as a Captain/Chaplain with the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Protection District in Calaveras County, where he has served for 26 years. He is a member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains, California Fire Chaplain Association, and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. He also serves as a chaplain for Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas.

Dick’s Journey

My journey to become a chaplain began as a very young man, only I was not aware of it. It was about 5 years ago that I became very interested in serving as a chaplain. I was not sure if that was my desire, or if God had predestined me for that work. I now know that it was His plan for me and He has given me many opportunities to serve Him. I am very grateful to CSFA and former chaplain Eric Sciacca for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
