Step 1: EDUCATION and ASSESSING NEEDS

We want make sure you have all the information you need about Estate Planning and the options available to you. We give dozens of educational presentations each year and are always available to answer your questions. Once you are ready to move ahead, we will send you a worksheet to begin the process of evaluating your estate planning needs. Call us at (916) 851-1900 to get started.

Step 2: FREE CONSULTATION

Before committing to anything, you (and your spouse if married) will meet with our estate planning attorney, Rafael Ruano, for a free consultation. (Phone consultations are also available.) We will examine and discuss your available options. We will recommend the documents and choices that are best suited to achieve your goals.

Step 3: DRAFTING, EXECUTION and FUNDING

If you decide to retain Goyette & Associates, we will prepare the necessary documents to meet your goals. We will meet with you and assist you in executing and implementing all necessary documents. All documents will be provided to you in an Estate Organizer to take with you. We will give you all necessary instructions and guidance to complete the execution and funding of your Trust.

Step 4: ANNUAL REVIEW

We will communicate with you first on a six month basis and then annually thereafter to ensure that your Trust has been funded and answer any questions you may have. In addition, we will follow up with you regarding any changes that have occurred in your life that may affect your Trust documents. We can work with you to update and revise your Trust documents as needed.

The Revocable Living Trust Package is the most common service we provide and includes related estate planning documents such as "pour over" wills, deed transfers, advances healthcare directives and durable powers of attorney. Additional fees may apply for complex or large estates and for out of state deed transfers.
