Tom Forster CSFA Committee for Volunteers Chair passes
We are sad to report that Tom Forster, Chair of the CSFA Committee for Volunteers, passed away May 6 following a short illness. Forster, who was the Fire Chief of the Plumas-Eureka Fire Department in Blairsden (Plumas County), was 60. Details pertaining to services are pending.
Chief Forster served over 40 years in Marin and Plumas Counties, and was a certified Master Instructor for California State Fire Training for over 28 years.
“Chief Forster was a true fire service leader, and as a CSFA committee chair he represented the best spirit of service to CSFA and to firefighters throughout the state. He will be missed,” said CSFA President Mike Shrout.

There will be a Fire Service Memorial for Tom on Saturday, June 9th, at 11am. The event will be held at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy.
