Proudly Serving the Entire
California Fire Service since 1922

The CSFA Historical Society

The CSFA Historical Society is dedicated to fire prevention education, the preservation of the history of the California State Firefighters’ Association, and the promotion of goodwill for the entire fire service. The presentation of the CSFA Steamer at events throughout California (from local celebrations to internationally recognized events like the Tournament of Roses Parade) will call attention to our illustrious past, our present service, and our dedication to California’s Fire Safe future.

Firemen, Fire Wagons and Fire Horses

Thirty years as an active firefighter and twenty more staying active with his horse drawn steam fire engine doing public service events, Dave Hubert felt compelled to share his love for fire service history. Beautifully illustrated by Dave, FIREMEN, FIRE WAGONS, AND FIRE HORSES brings that rich history to us through many original watercolors depicting the dawn of professional firefighting.  Get a copy of this great new book!
