Mission:

The mission of the Emerging Technology Committee at the California State Firefighters’ Association (CSFA) is to stay at the forefront of technological advancements in the field of firefighting and emergency services. The Emerging Technology Committee aims to explore, evaluate, and promote the adoption of emerging technologies that have the potential to enhance firefighter safety, operational efficiency, and overall effectiveness in responding to emergencies.

Goals

1. 1. Technological Assessment: Assessing emerging technologies for their feasibility, reliability, and potential impact on firefighter safety, incident management, and resource allocation.
   2. Best Practices and Guidelines: Developing best practices and guidelines for the effective and safe utilization of emerging technologies in firefighting and emergency services.
   3. Training and Education: Collaborating with training institutions to develop educational programs and training modules that equip firefighters with the necessary skills to effectively operate and utilize emerging technologies.

Through the pursuit of these goals, the Emerging Technology Committee endeavors to harness the power of emerging technologies to transform and enhance firefighting and emergency response practices, ensuring the highest level of protection for both firefighters and the communities they serve.
