Fire Districts, Tribal Fire and Volunteer Departments Committee (FTV)

Mission Statement:

• • To provide a unified voice for all fire districts, tribal departments, and volunteer fire departments in California.
  • To advocate for the interests of fire districts, tribal departments, and volunteer fire departments at the state level.
  • To promote the safety and well-being of firefighters and the communities they serve.
  • To provide education and training opportunities for firefighters and fire officers.

Goals:

1. 1. Monitoring statewide legislation that may impact fire districts, tribal departments, and volunteer fire departments.
   2. Working with the California State Fire Marshal’s Office to ensure that fire districts, tribal departments, and volunteer fire departments have the necessary knowledge and resources to train their personnel effectively and cost-efficiently.
   3. Providing training and education opportunities for firefighters and fire officers in conjunction with the Training and Education Committee.

The committee is committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure that the fire service in California is strong and vibrant.
