William R. Goss Fire & Life Safety Award

Awarded annually since 2006 by the CSFA Fire & Life Safety Committee at the California Fire Prevention Institute’s annual banquet in Buellton, the William R. Goss Fire & Life Safety Award honors a CSFA member who has contributed significantly to fire and life safety in one of the following areas: public education, fire prevention, fire investigation, been active in the development of codes and standards, or involved in work that actively supports a long-term commitment to fire and life safety that has improved the quality of fire and life safety in California.

Selection criteria is based upon:

Involvement in fire and life safety

Major contributions/accomplishments to fire and life safety

Any CSFA member may nominate a candidate with a letter that specifically addresses the criteria above. Letters of nomination may be mailed to: William R. Goss Fire & Life Safety Award, PO BOX 189187, SACRAMENTO, CA 95818 or e-mailed to [email protected]
