Application period open for $18 million in haz mat transportation and pipeline safety grants

On Feb. 21, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) published multiple Notices of Funding Opportunities totaling $18 million in funds for its pipeline and hazardous materials safety programs.

Funding will be used to improve community and environmental safety through projects that train first responders, educate the public on local safety initiatives, encourage the development of new pipeline technologies, and more.

Hazardous Materials Safety Grants

Applications for the following FY 2024 Hazardous Materials Safety grants are due by April 5, 2024.

Pipeline Safety Grants

Applications for the following FY 2024 Pipeline Safety grants are due by April 10, 2024.
