    The Fire Control 3: Structural Firefighting course provides the student the opportunity to learn the basics of fire dynamics, chemistry and physics, structural fire behavior, structural fire attack tactics, and providing the knowledge and the opportunity for demonstrating their skills in locating, controlling, and extinguishing an interior structure fire. This course also provides future instructors an opportunity for learning the knowledge and demonstrating the skills for instructing fire fighters in these same fireground skills.

  • Forcible Entry Class

    Our Forcible Entry Class is designed to build a solid foundation in mastering fireground forcible entry skills using the tried and true tools of the trade. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the principles of mechanical advantage and progress capture, while utilizing good ergonomics and technique. By the end of this course, students will be able to size-up a residential or commercial door, maximize tool effectiveness through good technique, and effectively navigate forcible entry scenarios independently or as part of a working company.

    COURSE OVERVIEW

    This course provides the knowledge and skills that prepare a firefighter to locate, control, and extinguish an interior structure fire. It involves live fire training in an acquired structure. This course is also a prerequisite for those wanting to become qualified Live Fire Instructors for Fire Control 3.

    Delivered in partnership the the California State Firefighter's Association.
