Health: University researchers seek input from retired firefighters

| | |

Researchers from the University of North Carolina and Utah State University are conducting a survey of retired firefighters centered on studying the health status of retired firefighters. The overall objective of this survey project is to examine the overall health of retired career firefighters to 1) help identify the current needs of retirees, and 2) inform strategies to improve the health and safety of current active firefighters.

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and must be completed on a tablet or computer (not a mobile phone), and is completely anonymous (None of your responses will be linked to your identity.)

The survey is open to any retired career firefighters. Funding for this project was provided by the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center through the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). For your participation, you may choose to be included in a drawing in which you could win a $20 gift card (30 total gift cards will be distributed).
