Helping Wildfire Victims in a Unique Way!

The recent Los Angeles Wildfires have created many much-needed fund raising events for the wildfire victims. From concerts to special events, auctions, and various fund-raising organizations it’s amazing those with big hearts that have assisted fire victims. The California State Firefighters Association is proud to support and have been part of these fund-raising events.

One of the more unique ones I recently came across was from the Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma Ca. Buena Vista created a special wine called The Captain. The proceeds will go to wildfire victims. The is a Red Blend with a beautiful fire department (almost badge like) insignia.

While at the FDAC conference last week, I stopped by to say hi and had the most incredible experience. The winery has one of the most beautiful grounds, stone buildings which were built over 100 years ago and the most beautiful tasting rooms. We were also amazed at the caves and secret passageways through the hillside winery.

Upon entering we were met by the sweetest gal Mili Franceschi. My intention was to stop in, say hi and purchase a couple bottles and help contribute to the fire victims. We were half an hour early, but Mili greeted us with open arms and gave us one on the most incredible tours of the grounds, winery production room and secret caves.

Mili was so sincere and went out of her way to accommodate our visit. Mili wasn’t like meeting someone new, but like an old friend that I hadn’t seen in years. She never pushed sales, only displaying sincere kindness and appreciative for what firefighters do. In fact, that was how all of the staff at Buena Vista was. It was obvious Mili was both passionate of her job and extremely knowledgeable. She could give a class to any business or agency PIO a class in customer service and public relations.

The whole experience was great, however, Mili took it to a different level. If you’re looking for a great wine, gift or wine tasting experience, keep Buena Vista in mind. You can also share with your law enforcement brothers and sisters and they have a great bottle (with a sheriff badge) called “The Sheriff.” It is equally as good and bottle is equally as classy!

There’s still a lot of people in need of help from the wildfires. You can contact Buena Vista Winery at https://buenavistawinery.com/ Make sure you ask for Mili. You won’t be disappointed!
