Let Your Light Shine Down
Finding the perfect holiday gift for colleagues and constituents can be a challenge. But every year, I’ve found a bright and meaningful solution, Artisan Night Lights. Based in Orange County, California, Gwen and Carl Lind are a talented father-daughter duo who have been creating and selling their artwork through galleries nationwide since 1997. Their handcrafted night lights, accent lamps, magnets, and more are not only beautifully made, they’re created with heart. Gwen and Carl are also proud supporters of first responders, and it shows in everything they do.
Each year, I purchase a variety of their night lights as gifts. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and the designs are always unique. But what truly sets them apart is the kindness and care they bring to every interaction. They’re the kind of people who make you feel like family the moment you meet them.
Last year, I asked if they could create a custom night light featuring the Verdugo Fire Academy logo. Without hesitation, they said, “Sure!” Carl had a draft ready in no time—and it was perfect. I ordered about twenty for our Academy staff and Area C Fire Chiefs as holiday gifts. They were a hit.
Later, I asked if they could do one with the CSFA logo. I sent the image, and within 48 hours, it was done and done beautifully.
