The Critical Role of Information Sharing in Public Safety

Data does not have to be complicated. Simply stated, data is useful information that you collect to support organizational decision-making and strategy. Information is key in keeping your agencies personnel informed with real-time incident alerts, news, events, videos, personnel recognition, easy-to-update key information.

Recently I joined in on a demo with Steven Williams and Robert Kight with First Arriving. I was very impressed with the technology and capability they offered. From real-time incident alerts, mapping options, including ESRI and map box integration, to time of dispatch to arrival.

Data is critical in public safety. The ability to explain department’s value is essential to protecting our communities, personnel while enhancing resources before incidents, during response, along with training and prevention.

Communication needs to have the three C’s: Clear, concise, and complete. This is exactly what I found with First Arriving. You can choose from 130+ integrations and features for mission-critical messaging that keeps your personnel informed and up-to-date.  Public safety agencies have been working on the modernization of their communication networks and the enhancement of their mission-critical capabilities with novel technologies and applications. This is what First Arriving offers.

It is critical first responders are equipped with advanced devices to develop situational awareness. One thing that remains clear is the need for close coordination and information sharing between department personnel, mutual aid agencies, emergency management and the private sector.

I found many other impressive features such as:

Real-time unit alerting displaying incident details. Mapping to the incident location. Detailed map views to including Google street view and Google Panoramic 360-degree view and GIS and mapping overlays.

Instant situational and operational awareness. Some of these include resource deployment and management. Current hospital metrics (i.e. units currently there, patient turnover times, etc.). Current weather conditions and inclement weather notification.  Current road and traffic conditions. Staffing rosters and upcoming fill-in opportunities (SOD/overtime spots).

Streamline view of department communications with utilization of Google Sheets and Slide for departmental messaging. Ability to stream video for training and communications.

Live analytics for performance monitoring and improvement. Customization of dashboard views and zoned delivery of information based on job assignment.

By leveraging your current systems, First Arriving dashboards maximize the value of your investments and provide a unified platform for enhanced decision-making.

The new mobile version will be released soon!
